This site is dedicated to the players on Asura who collectively comprise the linkshell Machina. Their never-ending committment to excellence, hard work and friendship have made Machina what it is today.   It is the goal of this site to enhance their experience both in and out of the game.  The site also serves as the public presence for machina to Asura and rest of the FFXI community. Many people gave generously of their time in helping to develop this site. The sites developed by Hyades and Toxx have had a great influence and this site should be seen as a continuation of their work. Many have given well-founded constructive criticism, not the least of which were Indiana, Lordwafik, Selits, Tiberion and Tyrese.  Oh, did I mention Hyades? - that guy can write!  Without them, this site would not have been possible.

Nothing is developed without reference to other things.  The artist Picasso is reputed to have said “A good artist borrows, a great artist steals!”.  The following sites have had heavy influences on the Machina site design and we pay homage to them. Hidden Power - Their site obviously set the concept for our site.  Well designed, simple to use, visually appealing, it is a beautiful site. Hats off to Vecan and the crew!   Caithsit Summit - I was blown away when I first saw this site.  The flash animations and the amount of content were all inspiring. We have borrowed heavily from this site as well.

This site was built using both hand crafted HTML and some pages created using NetObjects Fusion 8.0. The generated HTML was then hand tweaked, scripting added (currently ASP) and is powered by a SQL Server database back end.
